Our Journey is a “grass roots” organization. It was started from the hearts of the caring for the hearts of the forgotten. Maureen and the board of directors of Our Journey have always been concerned about the cost of doing business interfering with doing business. We also believe our supporters have an invested interest in where their donations go, and how their support helps those forgotten children. It is Our Journey’s priority to be good stewards of their donations and support. Maureen receives a $13,200 per year stipend, which is her primary income. With the help of Fred Mills, Our Journey’s CPA and board member, Our Journey does an excellent job of keep their annual administrative cost at or below $2,000. All other contributions and donations to Our Journey go directly to the forgotten needs in South Africa. Having said that, many of Our Journey’s generous supports “ear mark” their donations to specific projects. Should any contribution or donation be designated for a specific project, Our Journey insures that all of those donations are used for that project.
